Notre Dame Office of Information Technology Job Opening 10/23/2007

The Office of Information Technologies has recently completed the four-year
project to replace the University of Notre Dame's strategic administrative
information systems. With the conclusion of this project, we are now ready to
embark on the next endeavor which is to implement a campus wide information
access strategy (Information Access Program). This strategy will take into
consideration what is needed operationally, managerially and strategically.
The overarching purpose of the Information Access Program is to evolve Notre
Dame’s reporting capabilities. Through a series of phases, the program will move
the campus from providing centralized minimum reporting that supports operational
monitoring to departmental and managerial reporting supporting situational, ad
hoc, trending and point in time comparisons to Dashboards that support
forecasting/planning, measures/metrics and score cards.
We are looking to add a Lead, Decision Support Analyst/Developer who will
oversee and incorporate sound data architecture for the Enterprise Data
Warehouse environment. This position will manage and oversee the entire
Decision Support data architecture process, including data analysis, logical
modeling, physical modeling, dimensional modeling and ETL process.
The ideal candidate would have technical expertise in data warehousing,
preferably in a higher education environment, strong OLAP (dimensional) and/or
relational data modeling experience, ETL tool experience preferably Oracle’s
Warehouse Builder, SQL programming experience, knowledge of Business Objects
universe design and report development. Strong project management,
communication, and administrative skills are essential to the position.

Job Title: Software Engineer - London
Description: 29West is a fast growing company with headquarters located in
Warrenville, Illinois (29 miles west of Chicago). We also have offices in New York,
London, and Hong Kong. We are looking for a Software Engineer to support our
sales effort and customers in London and in Europe. Upon hiring, the Engineer for
this position will travel to our headquarters for initial training before starting work in
our London office.
This person will provide instruction and support for customer application
developers. Design and code software to exercise and test our product features,
and to measure product performance. Integrate with automated test framework.
Troubleshoot network problems.
Qualifications:
-BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
-C (Unix or Windows - both would be a plus)
-Network programming (sockets) a strong plus
-Java a plus
-Scripting (Unix shell, Windows batch, and at least one high-level scripting
language such as perl, python, etc.)
-Experience with standard QA automation packages a plus
-Multi-threaded experience a strong plus
-Fast and eager learner
